Lígia Gomes, born in 1985, from Loulé and living in Lisbon for the last 20 years (writing this number is scary).
Pharmacist, anthropologist, copywriter, digital marketer, and an all-rounder in startups… the journey has been incredibly diverse and enriching. In 2016 I discovered digital nomadism and that changed the way I see space and time – I work remotely so I can travel more.
I completed a master’s degree in anthropology and another in development and international cooperation to deepen my understanding of culture and development. This education has allowed me to explore travel with a more nuanced perspective, especially when stepping outside our Global North bubble.
In 2020 I launched Peggada, a project about responsible consumption and recently a project called Nomads & Pirates which aims to help people find remote work in the area of social impact and sustainability.
On my social networks and on this blog I try to work on the idea that travel should have a positive impact on us and where we go – environmentally, socially and economically 🙂 I believe that diversity makes the world more beautiful and that it should be celebrated through stories, cultures and flavors.
You’ll also find a section called Random World, where I unleash my creativity and write about unexpected topics that don’t fit into other sections.
It’s a space for exploring ideas, sharing discoveries and learning.
